In fact, she has taught in high schools and community colleges for over thirty years, and spent her husband’s vice presidency advocating for the powerful role that community colleges play in building the United States’ economy.
World-renowned for becoming the first woman of color to go into space when she flew aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour, Dr. Jemison is also an icon of the women’s rights and civil rights movements. She has since dedicated her life to advocating science literacy and its integration with the arts.

Jonah Stillman (GenZer) is a seventeen-year-old high school student and currently the youngest speaker on the national lecture circuit. He has already shared his insights on Gen Z with MSNBC, CNBC, and CBS, and with companies in a variety of industries. Jonah has also been published in the NY Times. Before hanging up his helmet to pursue the work in Gen Z, Jonah was ranked number 6 in the country in alpine snowboarding. He has also served as an ambassador for the international nonprofit WE, traveling to Kenya and Ecuador to build schools.
Jon Bergmann is one of the pioneers of the Flipped Classroom Movement. He is leading the worldwide adoption of flipped learning through the Flipped Learning Global Initiative (FLGI)flglobal.org. He is working with governments, schools, corporations, and education non-profits. Jon has coordinated and guided flipped learning projects around the globe. Locations include: China, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, the Middle East, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, South America, and the United States.
Jon is the author of nine books including the bestselling book:Flip Your Classroom which has been translated into 13 languages. He is the founder of the global FlipCon conferences which are dynamic engaging events which inspire educators to transform their practice through flipped learning.
